Vincent L. Pratte is a composer of concert and film music based in Montreal.
He also works as an arranger/orchestrator and as a pianist.

The music for the short film Der Treibende Fischer by Ianic Mathieu has been awarded Best Original Score: Fiction at the SOCAN Foundation Award for Young Audio-visual Composers.
Around 70 composers 32 years old or less were competing this year in one of the four catagories offering three prizes each. The holder of 1st place in each category was awarded $3,000.
With the Hon. Roméo Dallaire as its Honorable President, the Vocalys ensemble was presenting on Saturday April 30th in Trois-Rivières its last concert of the season. A rich and powerful event during wich À ces hommes was premiered in its full string orchestra and choir version.
François Houde, musical critic for Le Novelliste newspaper said this:
One must say that all means had been put into this: the 16-voice choir was accompanied by three soloists and by a 23-player string ensemble. Yet, we never felt overloaded: the imposing works demanded such a scope and musical director Raymond Perrin lead his troops through the marked contrasts for which he had given himself the tools.
The first half of the concert, with its four colorful pieces, peaked with À ces hommes, a piece by a young composer from Montreal which was premiered. Vincent L.-Pratte was present to receive the warm welcome the public had reserved for his work.
